Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules that apply to anyone using tubestat. It is part of our Terms of Service. Material breach of the AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund of unused credits.

What you may do

• Build analytics dashboards, research projects, internal tools, public apps and any other use of YouTube public data that you are entitled to make.
• Cache responses on your own infrastructure to reduce duplicate calls.
• Share aggregated insights derived from the data publicly.

What you must not do

• Resell the raw API response as a substantially equivalent competing service, or otherwise re-syndicate the API without our written consent.
• Share your API key with third parties or commit it to public repositories.
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, credit accounting or other technical restrictions.
• Reverse engineer or otherwise probe the Service for security weaknesses without our prior written authorisation. Responsible disclosure is welcome. See below.
• Use the Service to facilitate spam, harassment, doxxing, defamation or any unlawful activity.
• Use the Service in a manner that violates YouTube's own terms of service, infringes intellectual property rights, or breaches applicable privacy law.
• Generate excessive volume that destabilises the Service for other users.

Enforcement

Suspected breaches are investigated case by case. Where time permits, we will warn you and ask for changes. For serious or repeated breaches we may suspend your API keys immediately, with or without notice. Unused credits associated with a breached account may be forfeited.

Responsible disclosure

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please email [email protected] before testing or publishing details. We will not pursue good-faith research that follows this process.
